KARCHER AFTER SALES SUPPORT

Dos & Don’ts

  • Use the H.P. Cleaner always with clean and clear water.
  • Don’t allow hot or warm water to enter the machine.
  • Never leave the machine in ‘ON’ condition, with built-up pressure; danger/ premature failure of machine.
  • Pay attention to the extension cords; ensure adequately sized cables to avoid voltage drop.
  • Never change jet pattern of ‘Triple Jet’ Nozzles during operation. This has a negative impact and may cause failure of internal components.

What should be done prior to using the Pressure Cleaner?

  • Connect the cleaner to a matching power outlet.
  • Connect and unwind the H.P. Hose completely to avoid any ‘kink’ during cleaning.
  • Connect the machine to a suitable water tap, using a properly sized hose and open the tap.
  • Press the Trigger Gun to vent out air in the hose and machine until water gushes out continuously through the nozzle.
  • Switch on the machine and press the trigger then aim the nozzle to the area to be cleaned.
  • To activate Shampoo spray, release the Trigger, turn the nozzle to ‘CHEM’ mode and start application.

At the end of cleaning job

  • Briefly press the Trigger after switching the machine Off to de-pressurize it.
  • Detach the H.P Hose and water supply hose from the machine after closing the tap.
  • Drain water from H.P. Hose by pressing the Trigger; water should flow out of hose through the connection end.
  • Switch the machine briefly on (2-3 Sec) to expel water lodged inside the machine.
  • Clean the machine with a dry cloth and store in a dry place.

If the machine is not starting

  • Check the availability of power at the outlet.
  • Check the Fuse inside the Plug Top, if it is equipped with one.
  • Check the Power Cable for any sustained damage.
  • Call Customer Service or bring the machine to our Service Centre (Cont: 17408030, Get Location)

If the machine output varies

  • Ensure that it is set up properly and that there is enough water supply.
  • Bleed trapped air in the supply hose.
  • Check and clean the Fine Filter, if one is present at the inlet.
  • Check the Strainer inside the Supply Connection Manifold for dirt and clean if necessary.
  • Check the Nozzle for damage; a worn-out nozzle will reduce the effective pressure of the machine.
  • Call Customer Service or bring the machine to our Service Centre (Cont: 17408030, Get Location).

There is No Detergent/ Shampoo spray

  • Check the Detergent container and ensure enough detergent is present or replenish if needed.
  • Check the Detergent Hose for blockage, kinks, damage and replace if needed.
  • Ensure the Nozzle is set to ‘CHEM’ mode.
  • Call Customer Service or bring the machine to our Service Centre (Cont: 17408030, Get Location).

If there is noticeable water leak from the machine

  • Check whether the Supply and H. P. Hoses are connected properly to determine that the leak is not from hose end.
  • Replace Seals of H.P. Hose, if the leak is from H. P. Hose (For Parts: 17408032)
  • Call Customer Service or bring the machine to our Service Centre (Cont: 17408030, Get Location).

Why use HEPA Filters in my Vacuum Cleaner?

The HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter filters out fine dust particles from the air which is thrown out by the motor of the Vacuum Cleaner. These fine dust particles are generally allergens to humans.

Benefits of using Filter Bags in my Vacuum Cleaner?

Filter Bags help contain the dust particles when the vacuum cleaner is in operation. During this process, the air will be drawn through the bag by a powerful vacuum motor. Without a Filter Bag in place, the HEPA Filter will get clogged fast and may need an earliest replacement. It makes the job of emptying the vacuum cleaner much easier

General Maintenance Instructions

  • Clean the HEPA filter with compressed air.
  • Replace Filter Bags before it ruptures.
  • Clean/ Replace the Floor Tool/ Brushes.

General Instructions for ‘Wet’ Applications

  • Remove the Filter Bag from the Vacuum Cleaner.
  • Ensure the HEPA Filter is present and dirt free.
  • DO NOT use Vacuum Cleaner with high foaming detergents (Example: Dishwashing Liquids, laundry Detergents).

After ‘Wet’ Application

  • Remove the HEPA Filter, rinse it under a tap and let it dry before next dry application.
  • Drain and dry the container.
  • Wipe off any water particles from the external surface of the machine.
  • Fit the Filter Bag back to the machine (If Applicable).
  • Re-assemble the HEPA Filter to the machine.

Vacuum Cleaner Troubleshooting (In case of breakdown)

  • Check for the availability of electrical power at the outlet.
  • Drain off water from container, if it was a wet application.
  • Check the Fuse inside the Plug Top, if it is equipped with one.
  • Check the power cable for any signs of damage.

If dust leaks during vacuuming, it could be due to

  • Defective Filter Bag, check and replace.
  • Filter Bag not inserted or fitted into the vacuum properly.
  • Filter cover not locked properly, ensure it is properly locked in place.
  • Defective or missing Filter Basket, fit in a new Filter Basket.
  • Motor protection Filter not fitted or inserted incorrectly, fit it properly.
