The bridge is 80% complete and will connect Al Sabiya city with Madinat Al Hareer or “Silk City,” according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). The bridge on completion is expected to reduce the time taken to travel between both points from one hour to just 15 minutes.
Considered to be one of the longest cross-sea bridges in the world, the cable-stayed structure is one of most important projects that form part of the country’s 2035 Vision.
