Dr. Sulaiman AL-Habib Hospital in AL Khobar is the first fully integrated digital health project with Digital Hospital system in the region, with the capacity of 400 beds and 290 clinics on 290.000 m2. The hospital offers virtual healthcare system (Cyber Care) so as to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for multiple categories of patients depending on the remote healthcare (VCare) via advanced digital and technological systems.

Challenges

When it came to their hot water supply, Dr. Sulaiman AL-Habib Hospital faced the following challenges:

  • Safety and Reliability: The hospital required water heaters that met stringent safety standards and provided a reliable hot water supply for various medical applications, such as patient care, sterilization, and cleaning.
  • Scalability: The hospital’s expansion plans demanded a scalable solution for increasing hot water demands.
  • Energy-Efficient Designs: A.O. Smith incorporated innovative features into their electric water heaters to address the hospital’s energy efficiency concerns. These included high levels of insulation, precise temperature control, and intelligent energy management systems. These measures resulted in reduced heat loss, optimized energy consumption, and lower operating costs for the hospital.

Solutions Provided by AlMahroos

To address the challenges faced in the Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Hospital project, AlMahroos offered the following solutions:

  • Safety and Reliability: AlMahroos recommended A.O. Smith’s commercial electric water heaters with advanced safety features, such as temperature and pressure relief valves, precise temperature control, and reliable heating elements. These water heaters complied with the hospital’s safety requirements while providing a consistent hot water supply.
  • Scalability: AlMahroos proposed a modular approach to water heater installations to accommodate the hospital’s future expansion plans. A.O. Smith’s electric water heaters were designed to be easily expandable, allowing the hospital to scale up its hot water capacity without disrupting the existing system.
  • Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings: A.O. Smith’s water heaters significantly reduced the hospital’s energy consumption by incorporating energy-efficient designs and intelligent control systems. It led to considerable cost savings on electricity bills, allowing the hospital to allocate resources to other critical areas of patient care and facility management. Implementing A.O. Smith water heaters also aligned with the hospital’s commitment to sustainability and reduced its environmental footprint.
